Blu Skye Mountains

Brett and Lauren met on a ski trip in Colorado. Brett was Lauren’s shuttle bus driver, and after a semi crashed and left them stranded for hours on the interstate together, Lauren asked for Brett’s number. After a weekend of fun, they realized they had something special and continued to date long distance before deciding to move in together and get married. When they moved back to Brett’s hometown of Johnson City, TN, they wanted to do something about the affordable housing crisis in their area. They started a nonprofit to build micro-home communities for affordable housing for first-time home buyers, veterans, and workforce housing.

Now, they've expanded their business by finding unused land and fostering win-win scenarios by generating income for landowners while also helping the cause of affordable housing with their nonprofit.

When they’re not working on their businesses, Brett and Lauren like to ski/snowboard and go hiking with their dogs, Remy and Blu (the Blu in Blu Skye Mountains).
